Overview: A menacing 'Mech whose characteristic configuration features arms that end in double-barreled large lasers, the Storm Crow has earned respect and fear throughout the Successor States-especially in the Draconis Combine who was first to feel its attack. The Storm Crow is versatile, efficient and deadly, with an Extra-Light engine, Endo Steel internal structure, Ferro-Fibrous Armor, and double heat sinks. In all of its configurations, the Storm Crow can deliver massive firepower for a medium 'Mech. Capabilities: The armies of the Inner Sphere were totally unprepared to face a 'Mech equipped with Extended Range Large and Medium Lasers on each arm and enough heat sinks to let the pilot use them. These Lasers, plus an Extended-Range Medium Laser mounted in the 'Mech's head, can devastate a foe in moments. Because of its speed and firepower, this configuration of the Storm Crow commands the respect of every armed force in the Successor States. A common alternate, Configuration A, carries a giant LRM-20 rack on its right arm to soften up the enemy from a distance. It also sports four Medium Pulse Lasers that can cause great damage quickly, plus ammunition-efficient Streak Missiles mounted in its right and left torsos. Alternate Configuration B features a massive Ultra-20 Autocannon on its left arm. This version shares the Nova's distinctive hexagonal arrangement of six Extended-Range Medium Lasers in its right arm. Alternate Configuration C, more common among the Ghost Bears, features a LB 10-X Autocannon on its left arm and a Large Pulse Laser on the right. This C model also carries Medium Pulse Lasers in its right and left torsos. Alternate Configuration D is a mobile missile platform, with a Narc Beacon that gives its impressive array of missile launchers greater accuracy. Not only does it carry a massive LRM-20 launcher and plenty of reloads on each arm, but its left torso also supports two SRM-2 racks. This triangular firing platform allows multiple targeting in an unusual mounting not seen in any Inner Sphere 'Mechs. Deployment: The Storm Crow, in several configurations, is one of the most common 'Mechs in the Smoke Jaguar forces. The primary configuration is also common in the other Clans, but the alternates are less widespread. Especially among the Smoke Jaguars, the Storm Crow draws so many different assignments that Draconis Combine MechWarriors had to meet these OmniMechs in almost any engagement.

Chassis Summary: An easily configurable medium mech, it can be optimized for both missile or energy based operations. Agile for a Medium mech, it has several advantages over the Inner Sphere Bushwacker, most apparently the additon of Omni slots. The arms carry all direct fire weapons, and their loss results in the Stormcrow (Ryoken to the Inner Sphere) being limited to missile operations. It's speed, coupled with BAP and a fast torso, combine to make it an effective scout or dogfighter, with enough firepower to defend itself against heavier units. TACTICAL: Deployed to forward areas, the Stormcrow presents a considerable threat to advancing enemy units. Able to carry an impressive array of long range energy weapons for a Medium chassis, it can be deployed with speed to forward areas and makes an effective sniper. BAP can be used to detect enemy units, and the chassis makes a very effective NARC or Artillery Beacon unit. The prominent arms may be targeted to remove to majority of offensive firepower, resulting is a much less capable unit, and limited to impotent missile operations. The legs are large and vulnerable, without it's agility and the ability to deploy to fire support positions, the chassis is unimpressive for offensive operations.
