Overview: Easily identified by its hunched torso, and jutting head, the Warhawk (Masakari to the Inner Sphere) has become notorious to Inner Sphere MechWarriors for its deadly accuracy. The 'Mech carries an advanced targeting computer, which comes as standard equipment in all configurations. Though the computer must be modified for different weapons arrays, the basic computing boards are built into the OmniMech's frame.

Capabilities: The most common configuration of the Warhawk carries two PPCs in each arm and a potent Long-Range Missile launcher on its left shoulder. With the enhanced accuracy provided by the targeting computer, this model can destroy smaller 'Mechs with a single blast.
Alternate Configuration A carries a more diverse weapons array and can therefore perform more varied roles. The missile arrangement is a bit unusual, with a Streak SRM-6 launcher tucked into the left arm and an LRM-15 rack in the Warhawk's right torso. It also carries a LB 10-X Autocannon on its right arm and two Extended-Range Large Lasers on its left arm. This version has one other advantage over the primary model-it does not generate quite so much heat.
Alternate Configuration B is one of the most unusual designs so far in the Clan arsenal. This variant carries a mammoth Gauss Rifle in its left arm, plus a triangular formation of Extended-Range Medium Lasers in its right arm. This design also features the Narc Missile Beacon and a pair of SRM-6 launchers perched side by side in the right torso.
Rarely seen, probably because of heat problems, is the Warhawk C configuration based entirely on Laser weapons, PPCs and a Flamer. This machine proves valuable on extended missions because it needs no ammunition reloads and has redundant weapons systems. The sheer amount of energy weapons, however, makes this 'Mech prone to heat build-up that even its double heat sinks cannot easily handle.

Deployment: The Warhawk exists most frequently with the Smoke Jaguars, who often pair it with the Dire Wolf. It is also reasonably common among Clan Ghost Bear forces and has been seen on occasion with the Jade Falcons.

MechCommander

The Warhawk quickly became notorious to the Inner Sphere MechWarriors for its firepower and deadly accuracy. Because it is an Assault-class 'Mech, the honor of piloting a Warhawk is usually reserved for only the most skilled, elite Clan pilots. A huge machine, the Warhawk is feared for its ability to utterly incinerate smaller 'Mechs with a single alpha-strike.

MechWarrior 4 'Clan Pak'

Tech Level - Clan OmniMech: Assault Class
-Clan Mech Pak Required-
Warhawk

Chassis Summary:
Easily optimized with any type of weapons system, the 85 ton chassis allows the fitting of heavier weapons, or additional heat sinks. The squat chassis presents a low profile and the armor protection makes the chassis a tough opponent.

The chassis performance is quite poor, and agility factors are comparable to 100 tonners. The heaviest weaponry is concentrated in the arms, and these make tempting targets. The Warhawk (Masakari to the Inner Sphere) is well suited towards long range support.

TACTICAL:
The Warhawk exists in a unique weight class, and affords options in matches where weight is limited. It had the ability to carry heavy energy weapons such as the ER-PPC, or any combination of "3 Slot" weapons due to it's exceptionally well proportioned slots. It can carry up to 11 slots worth of LRM's, and will often be seen in this configuration, providing support for forward units. It also makes a valuable artillery support mech, capable of carrying 2 Long Tom Cannons, along with the heat sinks required by these extremely hot running weapons. It supports the use of both BAP and Enhanced Optics, making it a valuable sniper or missile support unit.

A miserable performer, with agility factors well below other near it's weight class. This makes it highly vulnerable to small, fast units which will run circles around the sluggish beast and pick it apart. Aided by it's Omni slots and kept well away from front-line fighting however, it is a powerful battlemech that must be respected, especially at maximum ranges. It's top speed is impressive, but at 28 total tons of engine upgrades, it requires the sacrifice of a great deal of weaponry, or armor to reach this level.
