Jal Steiner is a tall MechWarrior who moves with the confidence of experience and command. He was once a Cloud Cobra, and clings to many of their ways. He has a deep voice and has dusty blond hair which he keeps long and in a pony tail which is none typical of Nova Cats, who usually keep their hair short.

Jal Steiner converted most of his Xi Provicional Galaxy to the Cloister system of the Cobras, and had his 'Mech painted with gaudy colors and glyphs painted on the sides of its legs.

MechWarrior Zane believed Jal Steiner's conversions, his gaudy 'Mech and many of his actions further corruption to the Nova Cat Clan.
