Natalie Breen commanded the Steel Vipers up to and during the Battle of Tukayyid. Badly wounded and dismayed at her Clan's lackluster performance, she resigned shortly after the conclusion of the battle and took up a post with Khan Zalman's headquarters staff. Few see the reclusive former Khan, but she regularly tests out in ther Crossbow and remains a qualified warrior. Her political enemies have long sought to consign her to a solahma unit, but have met with little success. These same critics have suggested that the former Khan is the instigator of several recent aggressive moves by Clan Steel Viper in the Ground Council. Khan Zalman has dismissed these accusations, but questions remain as to Breen's exact role in Steel Viper society.
