Peri was from the same Mattlov-Pryde sibko as Aidan. As a child she was clever and intelligent and had a mean streak.

Peri did very well in technical ability, but scored poorly in Mech combat practice, and was washed out of the Warrior caste training. She was assigned to the Scientist Caste, and did very well there, as she had good skill. Her scientific area went into the area of genetic research. Sometime after failing his Trial of Position, Aidan escaped to Technician Caste and wandered under cover near but not as a member of the bandit caste. He eventually found where Peri was stationed on Tokasha and met her. They coupled, and eventually Aidan was discovered and captured by Star Commander Joanna by the orders of Falconer Commander Ter Roshak. Later Peri gave birth to Aidan's child and named her Diana, a relettering of the name Aidan.

Peri's freeborn daughter Diana proved to be an innate fighter, and as a youth she was sent for warrior training to a freeborn company. She passed her Trial of Position and became a Mechwarrrior.

Around the time Diana was called into duty to fight aginst the Wolves in the Refusal War, Peri was given a special mission by Khan Marthe Pryde. She was to oversee studies and work on Stinger Land-Air Mechs, and to look into a secret gene depot discovered by Horse and Sentania Buhallin on Huntress, the homeworld of Clan Smoke Jaguar.

Peri gained the Scientist Caste labname of Watson. Peri Watson still is adroit in hand to hand combat skills and used them on bandit caste thugs hired by traitorous Scientists during the recent Scientist plot to usurp power from the Warrior Caste and rule the Clans.
