Born 18 March 3009 (revised later to 3045) to parents Dimitri and Victoria Schuster, in Dusseldorf, Germany, Nicholas Hans Schuster led a healthy childhood and a middle-class upbringing. Attending the Sandhurst Military College in Berkshire, England, Christian studied law enforcement, with a focus on mounted patrol. With the invasion of the Clans, Christian and his family relocated to New Earth in 3056 in order to be closer to their extended family. Upon arriving on the Lyran-controlled world, Nicholas immediately enlisted in the local constabulatory, eager to realize his dream of becoming a law enforcement officer. However, a debilitating asthmatic condition signified the end of his career before it had even begun, and Schuster was ejected from the academy. Several months later, he enlisted in the ranks of the LEGIONNAIRES.
