I would just like to point out that we've touched down on Galatea. Since we don't yet have an employer our OP hasn't begun, but I would like to take this time to organize the Legionnaires. Those of you who want specific battlemechs might take this time to locate them on-world. We have limited funds, so I can only approve of light, heavy, and medium 'mechs, and only those of older, Inner Sphere designs. Our roster right now has 8 mechwarriors, which I hope will grow as a member or two more adds themselves, but if we can't reach 12 we'll do some recruiting. We may have to restructure our ranks a bit.
The Legionnaires themselves, when we're finished on Galatea, should end up being the size of a small Battalion. We will have a company (12) of Battlemechs plus a mixed support company of vehicles and infantry. Perhaps we'll find an Aerospace pilot or two on this world. We might have to change people's ranks to fit in with the proper military organization. Generally, a Major commands a Battalion, a Captain a company, and Lieutenants command the Lances within the Company with Sergeants as their seconds. After we've finalized our roster we can make a proper command structure.
When choosing your Battlemechs, I would like people to think of the role they want. It would be nice to have a Recon lance of light 'mechs, so don't shy away from the smaller 'Mechs.
So, I have a feeling that sometime next week we will have a contract, so until then have fun marching around this world... and remember, it's a seedy place.
