What does island mean? Like, an island, completly surrounded by water?
Island Sun actually to a US Military code that was initiated by the Defense Information Systems Ageny. From what I can tell it refers to the state of condition/rules of conduct in battle.

Or is this the Dauntless on Star Trek Voyager which used an experamental slipstream drive system multiple times faster than standard warp drive that eventually proved to be a trap to deliver the crew of the Voyager to the Borg?

I think its Joe or something. It never really tells you but if you stop and zoom on the paychecks and plane tickets, you can see Joe something.

In the movie he is called the "Narrator" however in the book he does have a name. If u watch the DVD and play the commentory with the director David Finch, he tells u his name. I cant remember of the top of my head but its there
