I'd like to see a more BattleTech-ish ranking system. Essentially, I'd like to see the whole range, from Private to General (like you have at the end of your post) over the Mech Commander style rankings. That way, even in a Lance Assignment, you have more senior elisted leading and the chain of command remains intact should the be required on the fly.

Things such as a Lance Commander ejecting from their BattleMech migth cause confusion in the chain of command, but with a more

Harris - you wouldn't happen to have an example of a canon Mercenary ranking system you could post here, would you? I think that could potentially help refine the above-posted system, which, incidentally, has become slightly outdated since Crayven Corp made its appearence on scene.

I like Rhodes system as well. Coupled with the fact that it should follow a canon sourcebook, that would make it even better. It's a little leaner than mine, but that makes it even more viable to use with smaller numbers. NPCs can always fill in the gaps of course, especially the lower rungs of the Legionnaires. This might make it a little more interesting too, as even lower ranked member have the potential for having people under their command. For example, a Tanker [or AeroTech Pilot] can

I secured the hatch behind me as I entered War Room B. This was an emergency meeting called by one of my "Data Recovery Specialists" and so I decided to bring in the whole damn staff to hear what the big deal is. If anything, we needed to compare notes and see what progress we have made. Time was running out and the General's patience was wearing thin. Neither of which was something that had me in a cozy spot.

It's a short clip, maybe 5 min long, but it's cool to watch. It's a single unarmored infantryman fighting against a Vulture (Mad Dog) OmniMech.

Awesome, I saw that movie before (well over a year ago now) but could never find it again, did you just google it? (I know that probably seems obvious since the link loads a google page but I was just wondering how you found it).

Yeah, I'm about 10 hours late, but it's the thought that counts right? tongue.gif
I voted no jump. unsure.gif

I'm not entirely sure why I don't want a jump. Maybe it's because it sounds like it might complicate things for character development, or a jump seems (IMO) not entirely necessary. Although, I don't really have a solid belief one way or the other. I am also new to the site, so personally, I don't think I'll have as m

Well, According to the M.I.A. list, I've been gone for far longer that I thought I was. Anyhow, I'm really sorry for being away for so long, though I believe I don't think I have the time for a full fledged return. I've moved to a new area and been busy running the restaurant I've been assigned to. All in all I think I'm putting in so many hours that I've really lost track of time.
